Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay, 2007- “Our 2007 Napa Valley Chardonnay displays vibrant citrus blossom, ripe apple, sweet melon and white peach aromas, with subtle butter-cream, baked bread and toasty oak scents adding complexity.” Wine Enthusiast 90 points. This was a great Primo wine, fruity, complex and bright. Some say this Winery is overrated but I completely disagree.

Jargon Pinot Noir, 2007- “Bright and seductive flavors of black cherry with a hint of strawberries, cola and dark tobacco. On the palate, this wine has a smooth silky texture, followed by mild tannins that deliver structure and complexity.” This wine is suitable for maybe disinfecting kitchen counter-tops. This tasted like pure alcohol, acidic, and ultimately a very cheap wine not worth your time.

Las Rocas Garnacha, San Alejandro, 2007- Deep ruby colored with a gorgeous nose. Attractive aromas of kirsch, raspberries, pepper and melted liquorice. Full flavored wine with a supple texture and no hard edges. Medium to full bodied, fruit driven sumptuously-textured and long aftertaste.” Let this spicy vino breathe before drinking, nice body, long finish and a nice blackberry flavor. Not bad.

Root 1 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2007- A rich ruby color with tastes of black cherry, full plum and soft vanilla and toffee notes. The silky tannins and good structure support a long complex finish.” This varietal is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and %15 Syrah. This wine is very drinkable, fruity aroma, mild, surprisingly smooth and a great value.

Veramonte Cabernet Sauvignon, 2006 Reserva- Colchagua Valley Chile. “Bursting with ripe falvors this Cabernet has bold intensity and a smooth, rich finish. It is the perfect wine with dinner any day of the week.” Wine news 92 points. I found this Cab to be sweet at first with a semi-dry lasting finish, mild mannered and overall a great wine.
